The Time and Attendance API is a generic HR API that allows HR/time management systems to send canonical employee time and attendance data to payroll integration flows.

This API is generic, meaning it is not specific to one DHL Division or one source HR/time platform.

In scope:

• Planned working time data
• Absence data
• Schedule adjustment data
• Remuneration-related time entries
• Integration metadata for traceability and idempotency

Out of scope:

• Employee payroll master and compensation master data
• Non-payroll HR process workflows
• UI-specific data capture logic

Primary downstream system in scope:

• STEPS SAP payroll interfaces (country transformation layer dependent)

You can use this API to integrate systems such as Oracle Time and Labor and UKG with DHL time-to-payroll processing, where canonical records are transformed into country-specific STEPS SAP interfaces.

Typical flows include:

• Planned working time updates
• Absence submissions and corrections
• Schedule adjustments (temporary shift/schedule overrides)
• Remuneration time entries (for example overtime quantities)
