HOW TO USE THE NEW GROUP API DEVELOPER PORTAL
If you are Post & DHL API user integrated using old APIs (e.g. Business Customer Shipping API SOAP) and have registered via Entwicklerportal in the past, please follow the below steps to manage your existing applikations and related credentials:
- Reset your password by providing email address you've registered with on Post & DHL Entwicklerportal in the past
- Login using your email address and new password on the DHL Developer portal
- Your Applications have been migrated and linked to your portal identity. They are named like "CIG_Mig_{Eportal-APP-Name}". To show your Applications please click on the "person" icon
In case of issues accessing the DHL API Developer Portal or accessing your migrated Applications, please contact us over the new support tool.
Feel free to create a new user account at any time you like to. We are able to syncronise your applications based on the email addresses in the old developer portal.

- How do I log in to the new Group API Developer Portal?
To enable a smooth transition to the new API Developer Portal, we are transferring your user data completely to the new Group API Developer Portal.
- How do I find my applications created at https://entwickler.dhl.de?
- A new application called "CIG MIGRATION APPLICATION" has been created for you in the new Developer Portal.
- It contains all your previous accesses for sandbox and production.
- Production accesses are dedicated (Shipping, Pickup, Returns) and are based on your previous APP-ID.
- Sandbox access is also generally valid as before and is based on your developer ID. The special API for this in the Developer Portal is called:
"Parcel DE Super (Post & Parcel Germany)".
- How will I be informed about Post & DHL API news in the future?
Please make sure that you have activated the "Notifications" in the Group API Developer Portal for each API in order to receive technical changes to the API specifications in the future. You will find the setting in the top right-hand corner of every API detail page.
Note: You can also view and change these settings in your account administration.

- Will my technical API connections continue to work after the changeover?
Your API accesses will be transferred to the new Group API Developer Portal. There is no need for you to take any action. Existing API connections will continue to run without restriction during the entire transition.
- If, contrary to expectations, disruptions occur, please contact us at any time via our ticket system.
- All your existing applications in the developer portal will be transferred and will be available to you in the Group API Developer Portal under the name "CIG_Mig_{Eportal-Application-Name}".
- I have an authentication error, what can I do?
Make sure that you are using the correct access data for your connection. Please make sure that your access data is case-sensitive.
You can of course view your current API credentials at any time in the Group API Developer Portal. To do this, open your application with the name "CIG MIGRATION APPLICATION". Here you will find the API key and API secret for your Post & Parcel APIs.
Please also ensure that you enter valid business customer access data correctly for authorisation in the backend. - Where can I view the documentation of old APIs?
The documentation of old Entwicklerportal APIs will be available in the developer portal until the 8/12/2023. From 8/12/2023, we will make the documentation available to you in the download area of the new Group API Developer Portal.
How to find the download area in the new Group API Developer Portal. Navigate to your private settings via the person symbol at the top right and then activate the "Downloads" tab. You will then find the "Documentation Developer Portal" area after approval. Here we have stored the documentation of old APIs for you in German and English.

I need new technical access to the sandbox of deprecated APIs from old Entwicklerportal?
If you need a new user to access the sandbox of an old API after the Entwicklerportal has been shut down, you can set up access in the new Group API Developer Portal. To do this, simply create an APP and add the API "Parcel DE Super (Post & Parcel Germany)". You can then use the newly generated API Key and API Secret as Basic Auth analogous to the old CIG authentication.
- What is the support process in the new Group API Developer Portal?
Please note that we will not transfer existing tickets from the Developer Portal to the new Group API Developer Portal.
Please use our new ticket system in the future, also for old APIs.
- I have problems after the changeover
We are trying to make the changeover as smooth as possible for you. However, it is possible that you may experience problems with your connection to our DHL systems. In this case, please contact your known contact persons or use our new ticket system.
